Music Theory

Our teachers hold both Degree and Masters qualifications so if you are looking to brush up on your theory skills this is the lesson for you. If you’re looking for a challenge but have never studied past grade 5 theory why not get tuition in a higher grade with us?

Music theory is a complex and extensive subject. There are several practices, disciplines, and concepts.

Best to learn music fundamentals first, before exploring advanced music theory. The building blocks that form musical compositions include:

  • Harmony
  • Melody
  • Rhythm

Guitar Music Theory

It can be quite intimidating for a lot of newer guitar players. They explain step by step how major chords are made, how to read guitar tabs, how to read sheet music, and much more. But our expert Guitar teachers make it simple so you can begin to really understand how music theory works.

Piano Theory

Piano theory is music theory learned while referring to a piano keyboard. The piano keyboard is a great tool to use when learning basic music theory. Because of the layout of the piano keys, patterns of notes, scales, chords and intervals are a lot easier to actually see, compared to other instruments.

Flute

The flute is one of the earliest known musical instruments, and has been played for thousands of years.

Violin

Violin is also teaching in box music academy. Violin is a stringed musical instrument of treble pitch, played with a horsehair bow. The classical European violin was developed in the 16th century. It has four strings and a body of characteristic rounded shape, narrowed at the middle and with two f-shaped sound holes.

Singing

Part of our nature as humans beings is to sing. Long before we were able to speak musical sound vocally was a major part of our ability to communicate and connect.

Learn techniques to warm up the voice, explore your range, take your singing passion to next level.

Expert guidance on applying technique into songs

Two-way video and audio.  Excellent sound quality.  You are ‘virtually’ face-to-face with your teacher.
